About Me

As a survivor of suicide, I advocate for better care and support for people whom services often deem “too complex.” I identify as someone who has lived with Borderline Personality Disorder, and it was only after receiving Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT) in 2010 that my life truly began to change. MBT was not only life-saving, but life-changing—it enabled me to rebuild my life and find purpose through volunteering.

In 2023, I was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in the category of suicide intervention, prevention, and postvention in young people with Borderline Personality Disorder. While I am currently working on my written report, I have already shared some of my findings through a recorded webinar with the Global Leadership Exchange, highlighting key academic insights from my research.

Drawing on my living experience of both physical and mental health challenges, I am able to contribute meaningfully to discussions across the health and social care sectors but am only able to do so as I have good Carers who I call my "Fairy Godmothers."
